The Primary School is a community of learning in an environment which is communicative, unprejudiced, well-organised, and compassionate. Here, teachers are empowered to guide the pupils through mentoring. This circle of community also extends to embrace parents.
Literacy is an essential goal in the Primary School and all pupils are expected to become proficient in the written and spoken word through a coherent curriculum which includes words, numbers, the arts and other essential tools of learning.
Pupils are taught both by word and deed, and encouraged to become disciplined, creative and well-motivated learners through the study of various fields of knowledge which help them grasp connections across disciplines and relate what they learn to life. Libraries, museums, zoos and surrounding facilities become resources too.
